Individuals with a Master's Degree in a STEM Field

Teachers holding master's degree in science, technology, engineering or math are in great need in Florida's public charter schools. If you have a master's degree in a STEM field, you can earn a Florida Professional Certificate by meeting these requirements:

  • Teach an approved high school STEM course with a 6-12 STEM certification
  • Earn passing scores on the General Knowledge Examination, Professional Education Examination and Subject Area Examination.
  • Earn a highly effective rating based in part on student performance on a national or state assessment (AP, AICE, EOC, IB) for the STEM high school course.
